<TITLE>02. Par 5-7</TITLE>L-5 Why, you know, there's just something that affects me. I like that. I like that old fashion kind, you know. Like they used to say... I was down in a meeting, down in Miami, Florida, one time. Brother Bosworth said, "Brother Branham," said, "As you go out in the back," said, "As you go through the little tent in the back," said, "They... The Duchess has let us have this ground here. Wants to shake hands with you."
I said, "Well, who's she?"
He said, "Why, she's a duchess."
I said, "What's that?" And I didn't know where that was a different variety of woman or what it was...?... I said, "Tell me."
So he said, "No, she's a great woman." Uh-huh.
So I said, "Well, now what about all these sick people that wants to see me though."
Said, "Well, she just wants to shake your hand. She's just there at the door...?..."

L-6 So then I went out, there stood a woman. And my, my, if I had the money with all them diamonds she had on her fingers, I could missionary the world almost. Standing there, and she had a pair of specks on a stick. Yes, she did. Now, she didn't have them on her nose where they belonged. She had them on a stick. Had all kinds of bracelets around her arm, you know, like that, and she looked at me like this when I walked out.
She said, "Are you Doctor Branham?"
I said, "No, ma'am. I'm not." I said, "I'm Brother Branham."
She said, "Well, I am charmed." And she raised her hand way up like this. And I... You know who'd want... You know how you... Now, she was just putting-on. You know human beings don't act like that naturally, do they? Is that right? Now, they don't. Now, "I am charmed." Now, what did I know about that, a Kentucky hillbilly?
So I--I looked at her, and I said... I got a hold of her big fat hand, and I said, "Well, get down here so I know you when I see you. " Now, that's... You know, I think people just putting-on. Now, I like their good old southern pump handle handshake...?... I like that. I really do. Said, "Hello, dere preachur."...?...

L-7 My wife one time, we was riding downtown. Oh, it's been two or three years ago, and there was a young lady on the street which knew her. She said, "Hello, Sister Branham."
And Meda was looking that way. And I--I didn't hear her speak to her. And I said, "Hey, that--that--that girl spoke to you." Said, "I spoke to her."
I said, "I didn't hear you, and I'm sure she didn't."
And--and said, "Well," she said, "I--I--I smiled at her."
And I said, "You mean to tell me a little silly grin will take the place of...?..." I--I--I like to hear you say it, don't you." I like to not grin about it. Just really say it out...?... and I just like that way that you all have around here. See?
Up from the north you're cold and different way... I went to visit my uncle, and they went in to a--to a place, and I said, "Uncle Charlie, who lives over..." I said, "You know who's that's the neighbor."
"Yeah."
And I said, "How long you lived here?"
Said, "Twenty years."
I said, "Who is he?"
Said, "I don't know."
I said, "You don't know. Has he lived here as long as you?"
"Yeah."
Oh, my, my. I'd have to get acquainted with him or something in that much time. And so, they don't say nothing to one another up there. They don't talk to each other. So this is at Plattsburgh, New York. And so that's now, the Catholic side of our family come.
And my great aunt founded the convent at Montreal and is buried there. And so they were real royal Catholics.
